NON SURGICAL LIPO - Frequently asked questions
Is it painful or uncomfortable?
Not at all, a high pitched ringing in the ears will be experienced during cavitation & a sensation of warmth from the radio frequency. If vacuum mode is used a suction pressure will also be experienced.
How long will the cavitation inch loss last?
The fat cells ruptured via cavitation inch loss treatment will never grow back again, so the results gained are as permanent as with those from surgical liposuction. However if an individual continues to overeat/under exercise the remaining fat cell can still increase in size as is also the case with surgical liposuction.
How soon can I see results?
Most clients see a reduction immediately after their very first treatment, and the process of fat metabolism continues for seven days so it isn’t unusual to see further loss. Results accumulate & intensify throughout your course of treatment usually becoming very noticeable around treatment number four.
Do I need to exercise?
Yes, it is important to exercise briskly for at least 30 mins after your treatment and preferably within six hours, this helps to metabolise & burn off the released fatty liquids preventing them being reabsorbed into the remaining adjacent fat cells. We have a gym, pool, exercise classes, sports etc available on site.
Is there any preparation or aftercare requirements?
Yes, on the days before & after and during your treatment you must up your intake of water to at least 1 or preferably 2 litres per day to assist your body to eliminate the released fats – Alcohol & caffeinated or fizzy drinks must also be avoided, and high fat or high carbohydrate or salty foods must be limited so your liver is free to concentrate on metabolising the released fats. Do not in in the hour before or after treatment, and do not fast or binge eat during your course of treatment as this will effect your body’s ability to metabolise fat.
How many treatments can I have and how should I space them?
We recommend a course of six treatments per area, these should be taken at a rate of one or two per week without any gaps in the treatment schedule. At least 72 hours/three days is needed between each treatment to allow time for fats to be processed and metabolised. More than one course of treatment may be administered on the same part or on different parts of the body but only one area can be treated at a time.
Are there any side effects?
You may need to urinate more frequently & you may feel a burst of restlessness after treatment due the fat/energy that has been released into your system. There may be some reddening of the skin which will subside within 24 hours and if vacuum mode is used then some light suction bruises (similar to lovebite) could occur.
Is it suitable for everyone?
No, some conditions will mean you are unsuitable for treatment or that you may need a doctors letter of clearance before proceeding. Please see following –
